Dental Technology in Fleming Island, FL

Our dental office uses many types of modern dental technology that can improve patient experience and treatment accuracy:

CBCT Scanner

Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans take detailed images of the bones, nerves, and surrounding soft tissues. Because the CBCT machine rotates around the patient, they need to be correctly positioned with their head and chin straight and their hands on stabilization bars. Once we ensure the patient is positioned properly, the x-rays move around the patient to create images of the smile. This process is quick and will only take a few minutes.

Digital Impressions

Using a digital scanner, we can take custom dental impressions. Patients no longer have to deal with traditional putty impressions that taste bitter, feel uncomfortable, and cause a mess. Instead, our office uses handheld scanners that help us take images of the mouth to create predictable results. We use these dental impressions for cosmetic and restorative treatments like dental veneers, implants, and more.

E4D Dentist™ Restorations

The E4D Dentist system allows us to create dental crowns for patients with worn and damaged teeth. Using computer-aided manufacturing and computer-aided design, we can create same-day dental crowns. We use handheld digital scanners that use laser beams to take images of the smile. The scanner connects to the computer, which creates a three-dimensional model from the scans.

The E4D software will create a custom restoration proposal that we modify to ensure a comfortable, natural bite. Once the design meets our requirements, we send it to the milling machine to create the restoration. E4D eliminates the need for temporary restorations and allows patients to receive restorations in less time.
